We named our largest reusable trap the POP! Fly Trap because originally, we made a small run of them with used two-liter soda (or pop, depending on your local colloquialism) bottles. Since this product has taken off in popularity, we had to switch to mass-produced bottles. The plastic container and parts are still recyclable, however, making this a product that gives a knockout punch to flies while having a softer impact on the environment.
The trap activates with water and can be either hung from a tree, fence or shepherd's hook, or placed on a flat surface outdoors.
As a mechanical engineer, Nick helps design custom machines that make our manufacturing process go more efficiently. Here, he demonstrates how to set up the POP! Fly Trap and talks about the creative component to his role at RESCUE!.
