Shopping Online? Shop Smart!

Scammers are becoming more prevalent in online retail stores, making it difficult to know if the products you ordered are authentic.

Here are some tips to help you shop for RESCUE! products with confidence.

Check the Seller

Online retailers like Amazon.com and Walmart.com are marketplaces, which means many different sellers can sell the same product. Most sites give you a way to learn more about the seller. On Amazon, look for “Sold By” and click on the seller's name to find the seller's details.

Avoid ordering from sellers who:

  • Have a poor rating
  • Have a low number of reviews (or no reviews).

If you found a great deal but you’re not sure if it’s legit, email us at info@rescue.com. We can help you identify trustworthy sellers.

Avoid Sketchy Websites

Avoid purchasing RESCUE! Products on any of the following websites as they are likely to be counterfeit: eBay, TEMU, AliExpress, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist.

Trust Your Gut

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. A listing advertising 12 Fly Traps for the price of one? Probably a scam. If things just don’t seem right, it’s best to steer clear.

Spotting Counterfeits

We have recently identified a new counterfeit fly trap that is very difficult to tell apart from an authentic RESCUE! Fly Trap.

The easiest way to tell if your Fly Trap is authentic is to look at the bait pouch. The bait pouch in these counterfeit traps is dark red and looks very different from the bait pouch in an authentic RESCUE! trap.

If you placed an online order and received counterfeit traps, please email us at info@rescue.com
