Wasps, hornets and yellowjackets sometimes build their nests in the strangest of locations. Oftentimes, those nests aren't revealed until after the season, when the leaves have fallen and the insects have died off.
But to find an active nest in a strange location? Terrifying.
In this freaky photo, Bald-faced hornets are building their nest around the body of a old, discarded doll in a tree. Judging by the size, it likely houses hundreds of hornets.
Understandably, it's giving the Internet nightmares.

The doll is creepy enough. The fact that it's randomly in a forest ups the creep factor. But the active hornet nest around it? Downright disturbing!
As one Twitter user said, "Great, it's not like I was planning to sleep in the next five years."
What would you do if you came across this nest during a walk in the woods?
